After I was born I lived in Maryland until I was twelve years old. That is when my parents divorced and my brother, sister, and I went to Texas to live with my dad's mom and step-father. I really do not remember much about living in Maryland. I do remember going to visit my mom's parents a lot and spending a lot of time with them. We would love going to spend nights with my grandparents. My cousin and I would both love to go and stay there together. We would go into my grandparents room and our grandmother would let us play dress up with her jewelry, and I would love wearing her emerald/diamond ring and some of her pearl necklaces. When we were there our grandparents would take us out to eat Chinese and than we would go bowling. Our grandmother bowled several times a week on a league. But in Maryland they mainly bowled what we called "duck pins". These are small pins with small balls. We would have so much fun when we would go to our grandparents house. I remember my favorite memory of going to my grandparents, was when my grandma would get up early in the mornings and fix us breakfast. She would always squeeze me fresh orange juice, pouched eggs, toast, bacon or sausage. No matter what we wanted at mealtime she would fix it for us. It was almost like eating at a buffet at mealtimes.
